Epitomizing the historic link between Rolex and the world of underwater exploration. Created in 1953, the Oyster Perpetual Submariner was the first diving wristwatch waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet). In 1969, the Submariner Date was unveiled. The waterproofness of both models was later increased to 300 metres (1,000 feet). Renowned for their robustness, functionality and aesthetics.
