The Explorer, emblematic of the close ties between Rolex and exploration.

Introduced in 1953 following the first ascent to the summit of Everest, the Oyster Perpetual Explorer embodies the spirit of adventure and the perseverance that lies behind every exploit. It features a distinctive black dial with large hour markers and characteristic 3,6,9 numerals. Reliable and legible under all circumstances, the Explorer is one of Rolex’s first tool watches.
